Moving Intowork

Moving Intowork is an innovative project that provides employment consultancy and support services within the Edinburgh and Lothian area to:

Moving Intowork's goal is to support equality of opportunity to enhance the lives of our clients and to help them to progress towards employment and social and economic inclusion.

The project aims to:

  • Support its clients to gain and sustain open employment

  • Raise awareness of Acquired Brain Injury and Asperger Syndrome, in order to promote the positive employability of people with these disabilities

  • Work in partnership with disabled people, employers and other organisations

  • Provide specialised advice and guidance to employers to enable them to recruit or retain an individual with an Acquired Brain Injury or Asperger Syndrome.

Background

Moving Intowork was developed by a number of key local organisations who identified a gap in providing specialised employment service to people with an Acquired Brain Injury or Asperger Syndrome.
