The Lothian Employers' Network on Disability (LEND)

Intowork provides administrative and development support to LEND.

LEND is a network of local employers who aim to:

• Promote equal opportunities and good practice in the recruitment and employment of people with disabilities.



• Facilitate dialogue and the exchange of information between members of the network and with other relevant disability services, representative organisations and statutory agencies.



• Provide a central source of information and learning on good practice, services and resources available to employer organisations seeking to recruit, develop and retain employees with disabilities.

LEND brings together professionals from a range of disciplines including:

• Line Management
• Human Resource and Personnel
• Occupational Health
• Facilities Management

LEND is a membership organisation run by employers for the benefit of employers. Members come from a wide variety of private, public and voluntary sector organisations. The network receives secretariat and development support from Intowork's Networks' Team.

Membership of LEND is open to national and local private, statutory, voluntary or other non-profit employer organisations as well as to individuals.

The annual subscription is £60 per year for companies with fewer than 500 employees and £120 per year for companies with 500 or more employees.

In 1994 LEND was recognised as a Scottish Charity - charity number SC035304.
